Process

Audit. Build. Rank.

Three phases that run in order on every engagement. Audit tells us what to fix. Build does the fixing. Rank is the monthly cadence that compounds the work over the next six to twelve months. Same cycle for every client, regardless of industry.

The cycle, in detail

What actually happens in each phase.

01
Phase 1 — Audit

We look at the whole picture before we touch a single page.

The audit covers technical SEO (crawlability, indexation, redirects, Core Web Vitals, security headers), on-page SEO (titles, descriptions, heading hierarchy, internal links, image SEO), schema markup (what's there, what's broken, what's missing), Google Business Profile health, competitor landscape for your top three to five queries, and the content gaps separating you from the sites currently ranking above you.

You receive a written audit document with an overall score out of 100, a per-category breakdown, and a prioritized list of fixes ordered by impact. The fix list is what becomes the build plan in Phase 2 — nothing gets shipped that wasn't called out and agreed in the audit first.

Typical timeline: 5-7 business days
02
Phase 2 — Build

Bring the site, the profile, and the citations up to a competitive baseline.

The build phase fixes everything the audit flagged as foundational. If the platform you're on can absorb the fixes (WordPress, most static builds), the work happens directly on the existing site. If the platform is fighting the work — a heavy page builder, a closed CMS, a templated location-page system — the build includes a rebuild on a clean static foundation deployed to Netlify.

Inside the build: a real service-page strategy (one page per query, not a single combined page), service-area pages written for the actual community rather than templated city swaps, full schema markup (LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList, Article where relevant), Google Business Profile optimization (categories, services, products, attributes, Q&A, photos, posts), and the first round of local and industry citations.

Typical timeline: 2-6 weeks depending on path
03
Phase 3 — Rank

The monthly cadence that compounds the work.

Phase 3 is where most agencies disappear. Baldwin Digital runs the same monthly cadence on every account: new pages each month (typically service or location pages targeting real queries pulled from Search Console and DataForSEO), Google Business Profile management (posts, photos, services, Q&A monitoring, review response coaching), citation expansion across reputable local and industry directories, on-page maintenance as Google's ranking signals shift, and a monthly report.

The monthly report shows what shipped, where Search Console impressions and clicks moved, how the audit score changed pass over pass, and what's queued for the next month. No vanity metrics, no filler dashboards — the report is the same one we use internally to decide what to ship next.

Ongoing: month two onward, month-to-month

Honest framing: organic SEO takes three to six months at minimum to compound, and competitive markets take longer. Google Business Profile can move faster — sometimes inside thirty days — but Google controls the timeline. Some industries (medical, legal, financial) take longer than others because the trust signals required to rank are heavier.

What we promise — and what we don't

Six operational commitments. Real and finite.

These are the boundaries every Baldwin Digital engagement runs inside. They're listed up front so nothing about how this works is a surprise.

Two-business-day response

Inbound emails get a real reply inside two business days. Faster on weekdays, same day on most.

No recurring strategy calls

Communication runs over email so the work stays the work. Calls happen when something specific needs them.

GBP timeline disclaimer

Google Business Profile changes are at Google's discretion. Most index inside thirty days; some take longer.

GA4 form & tel events only

We track form submissions and tel: clicks. We do not run user-level recordings, heatmaps, or attribution platforms.

DataForSEO + GSC reporting

Reports are sourced from Google Search Console and DataForSEO rank tracking. No black-box dashboards, no fabricated metrics.

Netlify on your account

Hosting runs on Netlify under your own account. You own the deployment, the domain, and the source code throughout.

Stack: hand-built HTML, CSS, and vanilla JS. No framework lock-in. Site files belong to you.
